Felix Canout, CSCS, PTL
Owner – Physical Therapist since 1973
Felix graduated from UCLA in 1969 and then obtained his Physical Therapy degree from CSULB in 1973 and began working with National Therapy Associates and Hyatt Medical, initially as a staff therapist and eventually as Chief Executive Assistant responsible for personnel on a national basis, designing and developing new programs, departments and therapy offices across the United States. In 1980 he started his own therapy practice, Wilshire Center Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab, now FCRS (Felix Canout Rehab Services). He has always strived to provide state of the art care and treat all staff and clients as he would want his own family members treated.
Sandy Canout, OTR/L, CSCS, PTL, CFP, CHT
Sandy joined FCRS in 1985. Sandy graduated from Loma Linda University in 1976 with her degree in Occupational Therapy and went on the work in pediatrics and geriatric rehab, as well as developing multiple substance abuse OT programs throughout Orange County. She then graduated from Loma Linda University Physical Therapy program in 1984 and went on to pursue her interest in orthopedics, industrial medicine and sports medicine while achieving her CSCS (strength and conditioning specialist certification) after which she went on to pursue her passion for movement awareness becoming certified as a Feldenkrais practitioner and later pursue an interest in hand therapy becoming certified in 2000.
James Aquino, PT, DPT
James joined FCRS in 2015. James A. earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from The Evidence In Motion Institute of Health Professions in 2018, and a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from De La Salle University in 2014. He has a passion for treating orthopedic and neurological conditions placing importance on a holistic approach in achieving the best possible treatment outcome for his patients. Throughout his clinical experience, he has learned how important movement and independence are for quality of life and it is his utmost goal to help patients achieve that with an individualized plan of care.
James Larsien, PT
James joined FCRS in 2016. James L. graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1995 and has practiced in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine since then. He enjoys treating all types of patients from weekend warriors to professional athletes. James has a special interest in gait/movement analysis and has done extensive work with runners and golfers.
Deborah Hanus, PTA, CMT
Deborah joined FCRS in 2018. Deborah is a Certified Massage Therapist who received her Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) degree in 2016 from CBD College. She has rotated through different settings including outpatient orthopedic rehab and geriatric rehab. She has a background in dance and gymnastics and since graduating she has pursued additional training in the areas of Yoga and Pilates for Older Adults, Manual Therapy Techniques and Kinesiology Taping.
Rubith Mendoza-Ramos COTA
Rubith joined FCRS in 2018. She received her degree as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in 2018 from Stanbridge University in Irvine. She is bilingual, speaking proficient and fluent Spanish and English. Rubith has worked for FCRS since graduating pursuing her interest in the area of hand injuries and UE orthopedics.
